UAE reports 2,989 Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has reported 2,989 Covid-19 cases on January 17.

The new infections were detected, following 346,101 tests conducted across the country to screen for the virus.

The health ministry announced 945 recoveries in the last 24 hours as well, raising the recovery count to 761,213.

Four deaths due to Covid-19 complications were also reported, increasing the related death toll to 2,195.

Meanwhile, the nationwide case count has risen to 808,237.

The Ministry of Health conducts 346,101 tests as part of its plans to expand the scope of the tests, and reveals 2,989 new cases of the #Coronavirus, 945 recoveries and 4 deaths case due to complications.
