The new infections were reported, after 486,936 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also reported 1,077 recoveries and five deaths due to Covid complications in the past 24 hours. A total of 781,970 patients have recovered from the contagion, while 2,258 patients have succumbed to it.
