Home Covid-19 UAE reports 200 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths The UAE has already announced new guidelines to be followed during the upcoming celebrations in the country by Aarti Nagraj December 16, 2021 The UAE announced 200 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, after it conducted 337,670 additional tests over the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) confirmed that the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care. The total number of coronavirus cases recorded so far in the country has reached 743,352. No Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, with the death toll remaining unchanged at 2,151. MoHAP also noted that an additional 119 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 738,260. In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has also announced new guidelines to be followed during Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations in the country. Venues for celebrations will have a capacity limit of 80 per cent and all attendees must provide a negative PCR test result taken within 96 hours and undergo mandatory body temperature testing.
