The total number of recorded cases in the country stands at 754,911. The new infections were detected following 431,482 tests conducted over the past 24 hours. MoHAP also announced one death due to Covid-19 complications over the same period. The Ministry of Health conducts 431,482 tests as part of its plans to expand the scope of the tests, and reveals 1,846 new cases of the #Coronavirus, 632 recoveries and 1 death case due to complications. #TogetherWeRecover — NCEMA UAE (@NCEMAUAE) December 28, 2021 The total number of deaths in the UAE as a result of the virus has therefore risen to 2,160. MoHAP also noted that an additional 632 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 742,565. Earlier this week, the ministry approved the emergency use of the Sinopharm CNBG’s new recombinant protein vaccine. It will be available to the public as a booster dose starting January 2022.
