The new cases were detected after 162,695 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also announced 1,004 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the total recovery count to 971,757. Zero deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll to 2,335.
