UAE reports 1,076 Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,076 Covid-19 infections on August 22.

The new cases were detected, following 309,026 examinations conducted across the country to screen for the virus.

The health ministry also reported 1,649 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 690,926.

Meanwhile, two additional deaths due to Covid-19-related complications were registered, increasing the death toll to 2,020.

The nationwide case count in the UAE now stands at 709,378.
