Home Covid-19 UAE reports 1,027 new Covid-19 cases, total death toll touches 660 The UAE’s daily infection number dropped below 1,000 for the first time in two months on Sunday at 944 by Aarti Nagraj December 28, 2020 The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,027 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total number of recorded infections in the UAE to 202,863. The new cases were recorded following 100,946 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours, MoHAP said in a statement. The infected individuals, who belong to different nationalities, are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care. MoHAP also announced three deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 660. Meanwhile it said that 1,253 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, with the overall number of recoveries reaching 179,925. The ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. It also called on the public to adhere to the Covid-19 precautionary measures.
