UAE registers 491 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death; infections cross 41,000

The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE registered 491 new Covid-19 cases on June 13, as a result of over 40,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The total number of recorded cases has now reached 41,990.

Meanwhile, with 815 additional recoveries, a total of 26,761 people have recovered from the infection.

The ministry also confirmed the death of one Covid-19 patient, pushing the fatality count to 288.

The ministry urged the public to adhere to preventive measures to combat the contagion.

“Remember to protect yourself by maintaining physical distance from others, wearing masks and frequently washing your hands. This eliminates viruses that may be on your hands,” a ministry’s tweet read.
