UAE private sector workers get long weekend for National Day

Private sector workers will get a three-day weekend to mark the upcoming National Day and Commemoration Day holidays.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed the news in a tweet.

This stated that workers would be off from Thursday, November 30, until Saturday, December 2, and return to work on Sunday, December 3.

For those with a Friday/Saturday weekend this means an extra day off next week.

During this time there will be Commemoration Day ceremonies on November 30, which this year falls on the same day as the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and National Day celebrations on December 2.

Last week it was confirmed that UAE government workers would be off for the holiday from November 30 to December 3 and return to work on December 4.
