UAE President Sheikh Mohamed meets Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi

The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Egypt comes close on the heels of his recent visit to Jordan and Bahrain

The UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with his Egyptian counterpart President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the city of El Alamein, as per state news agency WAM.

During the bilateral meet, the two leaders reviewed existing areas of cooperation and collaboration, especially in the areas of economy and investment, in order to enhance the economic growth of both countries.

UAE President visits neighbouring states

The two leaders emphasised the strong relations between the two countries and discussed ways to continue strengthening the frameworks and mechanisms of their joint cooperation.

Additionally, the two presidents also discussed regional and international developments. Views were aligned on the importance of intensifying joint Arab action to confront the growing regional and global challenges. They affirmed their keenness to continue close coordination at all levels, in light of the strong historical ties between the two countries at the official and popular levels.

The UAE President and his Egyptian counterpart declared they were keen to enhance bilateral coordination in light of the challenges the region is facing.

The UAE delegation comprised of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court; Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor at the Presidential Court; and Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
