Home UAE Abu Dhabi UAE National Day: Etihad offers up to 50% discount on flights The 50-hour sale will run from 10pm on November 29 and will end at midnight on December 1, 2021 by Varun Godinho November 29, 2021 UAE carrier Etihad Airways said on Monday that for 50 hours only, it will be offering up to 50 per cent off on flights. It is reportedly the airline’s biggest online sale ever and the discounted flights can be booked on the airline’s website as well as through travel agents. The sale will run from 10pm, Monday, November 29 and will end at midnight on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. The flights are available for travel until June 14, 2022. Etihad added that guests can also book now and change their flights later with no additional costs. In the airline’s 50 hour sale, guests can fly to any of Etihad’s select destinations, such as London, Barcelona, Doha, Rome and Singapore, with fares starting as low as Dhs695 in Economy and Dhs2,495 in Business. Economy class tickets to Rome start at Dhs1,795 and to Amman and Colombo from Dhs995. The carrier said that travellers flying over the National Day holidays will be treated to traditional Emirati cuisine on board Etihad and in the airline’s Lounges at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Younger guests can avail of an exclusive dessert designed by the young Emirati chef, Aysha Al Obeidli, as part of the airline’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Chef Aysha has designed the traditional Chabab pancakes inspired by the UAE’s national flag. In a special commemoration of the UAE’s anniversary, guests travelling on National Day will also be given a limited edition notebook designed by Emirati artist Maitha Demithan. The notebook features an illustration showing the growth of Abu Dhabi from the desert sands to the city it is today.
