The International Astronomy Center has said that it expects Eid Al Adha to fall on Tuesday, July 20 in most Islamic countries.

Engineer Muhammad Shawkat Odeh, Director of the International Astronomy Center, said that the month of Dhu al-Hijjah will begin on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 5.17am local time, official news agency WAM reported.

“Seeing the crescent on that day is possible using the telescope from the Arab countries and most of the continents of Africa and Europe, while it is possible to see it with the [naked] eye,” he added.

Eid Al Adha, one of two Eid festivals in Islam, is celebrated by Muslims worldwide on the 10th day of Dhu Al Hijjah, also marking the end of the Hajj ritual.
