Petrol prices in the UAE have once again been cut for November, marking the third consecutive month of reduction, it was announced on Tuesday.

Super 98 petrol will cost Dhs2.20 per litre, down 1.7 per cent from Dh2.24 a litre in October, while one litre of Special 95 has been priced at Dhs2.09, a decline of 1.4 per cent compared to the previous month.

The price of diesel has also been reduced by 1.2 per cent to Dhs2.38 per litre in November, compared to Dhs2.41 a litre in October.

The UAE links fuel prices to movements in international oil rates, which have seen high volatility in recent months.

Fuel prices in the UAE faced hikes for fourth consecutive months until rates were cut by 10 per cent in July. They were again increased by 3 per cent in August, followed by a reduction of around 4 per cent in September and 1.75 per cent in October.
