Two loud booms were heard in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, witnesses said, days after the kingdom said it had intercepted a hostile air target aimed at the city.
No further details about Tuesday’s incident were immediately available.
Saudi cities and infrastructure have frequently come under missile and drone attacks from Iran-backed Houthi rebel fighters in neighbouring Yemen. Saudi Arabia heads a military coalition that’s been battling the Houthis for nearly six years.
