Both those who died were Emiratis, according to the Royal Police in Oman. The incident happened at 8pm on a highway in Oman’s Adam province, when two vehicles with UAE and Saudi number plates collided with each other. According to officials, both the vehicles burst into flames upon impact. One of the vehicles then swerved and crashed into another car with an Omani number plate. “The initial information indicates that the accident caused the death of two individuals and injured 13 others from Saudi and Emirati nationalities,” a police statement said. Omani officials rushed to the scene and helped put out the blaze and rescue the victims from burning vehicles. All those injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
