Three days mourning in Ras Al-Khaimah after UAE royal dies

UAE royal Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Qasimi passed away on Sunday, the Court of Ras Al-Khaimah’s ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi announced.

In a statement, the Ruler’s Court expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and members of Al Qasimi family, official news agency WAM reported.

Funeral prayers will be performed on Monday at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ras al-Khaimah, and the body will be buried at the Al Qawasim cemetery.

An official mourning was declared in Ras Al-Khaimah for three days beginning Monday, July 2, during which UAE flags will be flown at half-mast, the report added.
