The upgraded road network is expected to benefit more than one million residents across key communities including Al Barsha South 1, 2 and 3

The enhancements are part of RTA’s broader initiative to support Dubai’s growing population and expanding urban footprint
The RTA is also set to construct a two-lane bridge in Nad Al Sheba, spanning approximately 700 metres
Spanning 13km, the corridor serves one million residents and major developments, including Dubai Islands, Dubai Waterfront, and Port Rashid
The RTA has also awarded a Dhs786 million contract in early April for the construction of a new bridge to improve connectivity between Bur Dubai and the Dubai Islands
The road adjacent to the Financial Centre Metro Station has been expanded in the direction heading towards Abu Dhabi
The road development aims to improve traffic flow and significantly reduce commute times for drivers heading to both Al Ain and Dubai.
The project is part of Dubai’s broader plan to innovate and evolve its transport sector through a network of advanced underground tunnels
The improvements were carried out to coincide with the city’s urban expansion
It includes the development of five key intersections featuring 13,500 metres of bridges and 12,900 metres of roads
