Spanning 13km, the corridor serves one million residents and major developments, including Dubai Islands, Dubai Waterfront, and Port Rashid
The infrastructure project will include 2,000 metres of surface roads linking the bridge to existing road networks in the Bur Dubai and Dubai Islands area
The bridge extends 1.4 kilometres and comprises four lanes in each direction
The closure is coinciding with the opening of the Infinity Bridge for traffic on Sunday, January 16
