Home Lifestyle Submissions open for Nat Geo’s Abu Dhabi Young Photographer of the Year competition Open to those between the ages of 16-21, the theme for this year’s competition is ‘Yellow Through My Eyes’ by Varun Godinho November 10, 2021 Public service broadcaster Abu Dhabi Media has invited submissions from the country’s budding photography community for this year’s National Geographic Abu Dhabi Young Photographer of the Year competition. This year’s ‘Yellow Through My Eyes’ themed competition presented by Audemars Piguet will be held at Manarat Al Saadiyat. Open to those between the ages of 16-21, the competition entries will be judged by a panel of experts including Alsaad Almenhaly, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Alarabiya Magazine at Abu Dhabi Media; Chérif Chamandi, director at Audemars Piguet; Ishaq Al Hammadi, editor at National Geographic Alarabiya Magazine and Bader Alnomani, photography studio senior specialist at Manarat Al Saadiyat. The judges will select three winners. The first-place winner will receive a Canon EOS R6 full-frame mirrorless camera. The second winner will be awarded a Canon EOS 90D Body camera, while third place winner will receive a Canon EOS 250D Black. The deadline for entries closes on December 1. Following the judging process, the winners will be announced on the social media platforms of National Geographic Alarabiya Magazine on December 9. The prizes will be presented at Manarat Al Saadiyat on the opening night of the National Geographic exhibition on the December 16.
