The world’s first Xperia Aquatech store, it will host the “first-ever” technology showcase at a depth of four meters underwater, a statement said. Visitors “will get to go through a unique experience” to browse through the full range of Xperia waterproof smartphones, tablets and accessories. The store, set to launch on December 3, will be open for three days and will host VIPs, competition winners and regional and international media, Sony said. It has been conceptualised and designed by creative agency FP7 Dubai. Spyros Gousetis, director of Marketing, Sony Mobile MEA said: “With the Xperia Aquatech Stores, we wanted to put Sony’s pioneering waterproof technology on its smart devices at the forefront in a manner that would deliver an unforgettable experience to guests and fans in a visually, and emotionally powerful way.” The Japanese electronics manufacturer has launched a number of Xperia products in the region with the latest being Xperia Z3 Dual and Z3 Compact. Earlier this year, the company also launched what it dubbed the ‘world’s most waterproof phone’, the Xperia M2 Aqua. The phone, a variant of the mid-range Xperia M2, is priced at Dhs1,299 in the UAE. 0 Comments
