Home GCC UAE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed appointed deputy ruler of Sharjah He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Petroleum Council in Sharjah by Gulf Business August 9, 2021 Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah has appointed Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi as the deputy ruler of the emirate. He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Petroleum Council in Sharjah. The appointments were made by virtue of decrees issued by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed is the chairman of the Sharjah Media Council and President of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC).
