In a recent announcement the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai announced a landmark new initiative that aims to increase the efficiency of government departments by eliminating needless procedures. Zero bureaucracy The ruler of Dubai took to social media to announce the new initiative which is called the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme’. Sheikh Mohammed said, “We launched a new programme to end government bureaucracy, whereby government agencies will work to cancel 2,000 government procedures within a year. Our goal is to be the world’s best government in providing services,” Sheikh Mohammed added. The drive was launched in the presence of 30 federal agencies to encourage them to develop simple, efficient and effective government procedures.
