Home UAE Dubai Sheikh Mohammed directs to host World Government Summit 2023 in February next year The summit this year convened more than 4,000 guests and participants from over 190 countries by Zainab Mansoor March 31, 2022 Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit Organisation, has announced that the 2023 edition of the World Government Summit (WGS2023) will be held from February 13-15, 2023. The announcement was done under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Under the directives of H.H. Leaders, senior government officials, heads of international organisations, and global experts participated in sessions to discuss and highlight global challenges and their potential solutions. The UAE has shown that nothing is impossible, and we take this mindset forward into the next edition of the summit in the name of progress and prosperity for all.” During this year’s summit, Dubai Municipality announced that it would work with private sector companies and investors to create a futuristic, human-centred version of the city that capitalises on opportunities offered by the metaverse.
