Kuwait’s Amiri Diwan announced on Wednesday that Sheikh Ahmad has been renamed as the head of the cabinet, Kuwait News Agency reported. Sheikh Ahmed has been assigned to nominate members of the new cabinet. The Amiri order said: “The Prime Minister should implement this order and submit it to the National Assembly. He graduated from Kuwait University where he studied commerce. In November 2020, an Amiri order was issued appointing Sheikh Ahmad as the deputy chief of the National Guards with a Minister’s degree. In March this year, another decree naming him as first deputy prime minister and minister of interior was issued. Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah was first appointed as prime minister in July 2022.
