Sharjah issues three-month rent waiver for commercial tenants
All shops within these markets will be exempted from paying rent for three months
Sharjah Asset Management, the investment wing of the Sharjah Government, has decided to waive the rent for tenants of Haraj and Jubil markets.
All shops within these markets will be exempted from paying rent for three months, the statement added.

The announcement was relayed via a Twitter post by Sharjah News, the official news agency for the emirate.
The move comes at a time when the UAE government is undertaking a series of measures to alleviate the financial burden on businesses and consumers as a result of the downturn caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, UAE-based conglomerate Al-Futtaim Group has pledged a Dhs100m fund to offer up to three months’ worth of rental relief to tenants across its two malls in Dubai including Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Plaza mall.
