The Energy Transmission department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has announced the completion and operation of nine power transmission stations, as well as a number of development projects and network improvements worth over Dhs480.8m in 2021.

The implementation of the networks came in accordance with the directives of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to better serve Sharjah’s people reported WAM.

Engineer Hamad Al Tunaiji, director of the Energy Transmission department, emphasised that the constant directives of the Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, provide a strong incentive to invest more effort in developing and modifying networks and completing projects with the highest possible quality and energy savings necessary to keep up with urbanisation and the Emirate of Sharjah’s economic, industrial, and social growth.
