It also provides technical solutions that will improve the taxpayer’s experience and contributes to increasing the level of services provided by the Authority. The ‘Zatca’ app is designed to be more effective in providing fast, reliable and high-quality services. It provides 33 services, such as, submitting zakat and tax returns, registering businesses and establishments, submitting objections, and viewing zakat and tax certificates. The application also allows taxpayers to inquire about the payment’s processes instead of visiting the Authority’s branches. Taxpayers can also access to view their account statement and delegate the certified accounting offices. In addition to other customs services such as the customs declaration inquiry and customs tariffs services. One of the most prominent advantages provided by the app is the online payment service that helps in completing the process implementation of services reliably and securely. The ‘Zatca’ app further supports the Authority’s website, which provides many services for individuals and taxpayers from the business sector. One of them is the “Contract Disclosure” service, to facilitate and speed up the implementation of all the services. Also, the “Submission of Zakat and Tax Returns” service, which allows submitting zakat declarations in a specific financial duration and date through the e-portal for all registered taxpayers, submitting tax returns for establishments, and disclosure of all transactions related to taxable sales and purchases. In addition to the “Delegation” service, which allows establishments to delegate accounting firms and service providers to complete their procedures and transactions automatically, and many other services. Over many years, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has been keen to develop its electronic services and use modern technologies to facilitate the services related to taxpayers from the business sector and individuals. It has dedicated its efforts to implementing digitisation in accordance with the best international practices. The Authority relies on an advanced digital infrastructure that fully supports the digitisation of its services to be at the forefront of the government digital system. Meanwhile, the Authority established the app based on three main pillars: ease, speed and efficiency. It describes the app as an easy, accessible and safe journey for users, that provides high and continuous support all the time, starting from registration to implementing services, with many advantages that represented in achieving high security and reliability, maintaining privacy, and facing cyberattacks. The application also provides the notification feature of zakat and tax obligations dates and submits reports with the utmost confidentiality. In conjunction with the launch of the new app, it has also launched the guide for e-services. Through this, it aims to guide and educate taxpayers from the businesses sector and establishments owners to learn about the e-services, to be able to implement their zakat, tax and customs transactions electronically. The guide is based on a full and detailed explanation of the e-services provided by the Authority, how they function, and how to benefit from them in the easiest and most effective way, with the goal of making the experience of taxpayers and beneficiaries easier. The Authority has also called on everyone who is interested or has a stake in the matter to view the guide, which can be found on the Authority’s website.
