Last month, Sipchem said production was likely to start in April. “The company will announce commercial production, the financial impact and any other development in due course,” it said on Tuesday. The Sipchem Chemicals Co plant, located in Jubail on the Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia, will make up to 63,000 tonnes per year of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin.
