Saudia announces 50% discount on flights: Here’s how to use it

Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has unveiled a special promotion offering up to 50 per cent discounts on international flights departing from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

This limited-time offer is available for bookings made between August 18 and August 31, 2024, with travel dates from September 1 to November 30, 2024. The discount applies to both Business and Guest (Economy) Class, allowing passengers to explore destinations across four continents.

The promotion is part of Saudia‘s ongoing commitment to offering competitive pricing and exclusive deals to its passengers. It also includes the “Your Ticket, Your Visa” service, which allows travellers to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours, providing an opportunity to explore the country’s diverse regions and perform Umrah.

The Saudi national carrier had run a similar promotion in 2023.

In addition to this offer, Saudia said it is improving its operational performance, recently topping the global on-time performance (OTP) rankings for the second consecutive month.

According to independent aviation tracker Cirium, Saudia achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.12 per cent and an on-time departure rate of 88.15 per cent in July 2024, operating over 16,500 flights to more than 100 destinations.

Ibrahim Al-Omar, director-general of Saudia Group, highlighted the importance of maintaining high OTP, noting that it directly impacts passenger satisfaction. He attributed this success to the collaborative efforts of the entire Saudia Group and industry stakeholders.
