Saudi water tariff to rise from next month -local media

The new rate for industrial, government or large company users will be SAR 9 per cubic metre, up from SAR 4 at present



Saudi Arabia will raise its water tariff for non-residential consumers by over 50 per cent from December 16, the local al-Watan newspaper reported in an article posted on the website of the Ministry of Water and Electricity.

The new rate for industrial, government or large company users will be SAR 9 ($2.40) per cubic metre, up from SAR 4 now, the article said. Reuters could not immediately reach the ministry for comment.
