Saudi Arabia’s PetroRabigh has restarted a vacuum distillation unit after unscheduled maintenance at its 400,000 barrel per day oil refinery, it said on Sunday.
PetroRabigh completed maintenance at the unit on Friday, it said in a statement. The company had announced the start of the maintenance on April 26.
The maintenance will cost the company around SAR100 million ($26.7 million), which will be reflected in second-quarter results, it said.
Vacuum distillation, part of the refining process, helps to produce petroleum products from heavy oils left over from atmospheric distillation.
