Saudi National Day: Cristiano Ronaldo dons thobe in new Al Nassr video

In honour of Saudi Arabia’s upcoming National Day, Al Nassr FC has released a stunning video showcasing its star players celebrating the country.

Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo can be seen in full traditional regalia – including a white thobe, red and white ghutra, and a black bisht.

The video released by his football club features Ronaldo’s teammate Sadio Mane and others, all wearing the thobe.

Al Nassr players Abdulrahman Ghareeb and Nawaf Alaqidi are on the drums, while goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah and Portuguese midfielder Otavio share an Arabic coffee.

It is titled “We dream and achieve”, the theme of this year’s national day celebrations.

The video shows the AL Nassr players drinking coffee, playing the drums and finally participating in the ceremonial sword dance, or Ardah.

Saudi National Day

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced the country will mark a holiday for Saudi National Day 2023 on Saturday, September 23.

The Saudi National Day holiday will be marked in a variety of ways such as fireworks, drone shows, cultural performances, and events. The festivities to mark this year’s celebrations kicked off in Riyadh as well as other cities across the kingdom from Wednesday and will last till Sunday.
