Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has large budget demands.

Saudi Arabia began construction on the Al Nawras Development Project located in Jeddah on Sunday, October 4.

The project will be developed by the Fakih Tourism and Leisure Group, as part of the Humanisation of Cities Initiative in correlation with the Saudi Vision 2030.

In addition to the location becoming an ideal tourist hotspot in the Red Sea City, the project is directed towards improving the quality of life of citizens and residents of the country.

Two of the key integrated factors in the development are the inclusion of recreational areas and raising the per capita share of green spaces to improve the number of physically active individuals in the community.

Al Nawras Island will be linked to the waterfront with the support of a 25-meter wide walkway stretching out for 2,000 meters in either direction.

Furthermore, the walkway will be home to multiple restaurants, cafes, recreation and artistic centres. The project will also incorporate a cinema hall, marina, multi-purpose beach for women with a health club and games area, and numerous entertainment events for all segments of society and age groups.

All restaurants and facilities are set to be operated by international franchise companies while supporting Saudi talents and entrepreneurs.

The project is expected to host more than 3,000 guests per hour and over 1,000 parking spaces to support the constant influx of visitors. The cinema hall area alone sits on 3,700 square meters with a maximum occupancy of 800 people.

The restaurants, cafes, art gallery, recreational facilities, and beach club for women take up more than 4,000 square meters.

The ballroom and marina club with an area of more than 4,500 square meters will comfortably accommodate over 1,000 guests, while the yacht, boat club, and berths would be home to 90 boats.
