Home GCC Saudi Arabia Saudi issues weather warnings, with possibility of snow, heavy rains in certain parts Saudi Arabia has been seeing many incidents of snowfall this year by Staff writer February 23, 2021 Saudi Arabia has issued weather warnings for several regions across the country, the kingdom’s Civil Defense said on Monday. Thunderstorms with moderate rain and strong winds are expected this week in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan and Najran. Meanwhile the regions of Makkah, Qassim, Hail, Madinah, the Northern Borders, Jawf, and Tabuk will face moderate rain and winds until Wednesday. Authorities also forecast a chance of snow in Tabuk’s mountainous area and cautioned that some areas will face heavy rain that may cause torrential flows and flooding.
