Home GCC Saudi Arabia Saudi introduces online registration for private sector work contracts GOSI said the electronic system would reduce labour disputes by Robert Anderson November 19, 2018 Saudi Arabia’s General Organisation of Social Insurance (GOSI) has announced the introduction of electronic contract registration for workers in the private sector. Under the new system, companies will be able to update the employment information of Saudi and non-Saudi staff online. “This initiative aims at protecting the rights of the employer and the employee, and providing a working environment that will help the employee’s stability and increase productivity,” GOSI said. The organisation said the electronic system would reduce labour disputes by making the contract visible to both parties and easily updated. The kingdom has also moved other processes online this year including rental contract registration and payments.
