Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior on Thursday announced the execution of four Pakistani men found guilty of rape, theft and murder.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry said Liaqat Hussain Ishaq Hussain, Sajid Ali Asqar Ali, Mohammed Thaqib Mohammed Al-Warth Ali and Faisal Mounir Munir Hussain broke into a house in Riyadh with the pre-planned intention of theft.

The first two men stabbed the hands and feet of the female house owner and raped her, resulting in her death, according to the ministry.

The second two men held back her minor son, threatened him and raped him, while assisting in the murder and theft of gold and money.

An investigation led to the indictment of the group and they were referred to the criminal court.

They were found guilty by the court, which issued the death sentence. This decision was later supported by rulings in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court leading to a royal order for the executions.

The death sentence was carried out on Thursday.

“The Ministry of the Interior, as it announces this, affirms the keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to maintain security, achieve justice and implement the provisions of God,” according to the statement.
