The court issued a preliminary sentence against seven Saudi nationals accused in the case on Sunday, local media reported. The main individual was found guilty of shooting the officer 30 times in his car, while the other six were charged with failing to report him and misleading investigators. The shooter was reportedly influenced by instructions from ISIL to “target military personnel, pledge allegiance to its leader and adopt its extremist ideology”, the newspaper said.
