Home Industry Energy Saudi Aramco Senior VP Buainain Steps Down-Sources Khalid al-Buainain took early retirement for personal reasons and his departure will take effect on Sunday. by Reuters March 1, 2015 Saudi Aramco’s senior vice president for technical services Khalid al-Buainain has left the company, industry sources said. Ahmad al-Sa’adi will take over Buainain’s role in the company as acting head for technical services until the end of August this year. Buainain took early retirement for personal reasons and his departure will take effect on Sunday. He joined Aramco in 1980 and has held several senior positions. A company spokesperson declined to comment. In addition to his role as senior vice president for technical services, he was also chairman of PetroRabigh, a joint venture between Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical. PetroRabigh said in a statement on Wednesday it had appointed Abdulaziz al-Judaimi as chaiman of the company following the resignation of Buainain. 0 Comments
