Home Industry Transport RTA announces schedule of services for New Year’s Eve, here’s what you need to know The revised timings apply to technical testing centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit means, among others by Gulf Business December 29, 2022 Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the schedule of its services for New Year’s Eve 2023. The revised timings apply to service provider centres (technical testing centres), customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit means, driving institutes and vehicle testing and registration centres. Centres Service Provider Centres (technical testing centres) will be closed on Sunday, January 1, 2023 and will resume business on Monday, January 2. RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on Friday, December 30 and will resume business on Monday, January 2. The smart customer happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, Al Barsha and RTA Headquarters will continue service 24/7 as usual. Except for multi-level parking terminals, all public parking spaces will be free of charge on Sunday, January 1 and the paid services will resume on Monday, January 2. Dubai Metro and Tram The Dubai Metro service on both Red and Green Lines will be operating on Saturday, December 31 from 5am to 11:59pm, and on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 12am (midnight) to 11:59pm. Dubai Tram will be in service on Saturday, December 31 from 6am to 11:59pm and on Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 12am (midnight) to 1am (of the following day). Public buses The schedule of public buses on Sunday, January 1 will be from 6am to 1am (of the following day). The timing of all metro link bus services will be synchronised with the metro timetables. The Intercity Bus service will operate on the following routes: Al Sabkha to Hatta (E16), Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi (E100), Ibn Battuta to Abu Dhabi (E101), Ibn Battuta to Al Musaffah (E102), Al Ghubaiba to Al Ain (E201), Union Square to Al Jubail, Sharjah (E303), Al Ghubaiba to Al Jubail, Sharjah (E306), Deira City Centre to Al Jubail, Sharjah (E307), Abu Hail to Al Jubail, Sharjah (E307A), Etisalat to Muwaileh, Sharjah (E315), Union Square to Ajman (E400), Etisalat to Ajman (E411) and Union Square to Fujairah (E700). Abra services Abras will be operating on Saturday, December 31 2022 as follows: Dubai Old Souk – Baniyas (CR3) from 10 am to 8pm, Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha (CR4) from 10:00 am to 08:00 pm, Al Fahidi-Deira Old Souk (CR5) from 10am to 8pm, Baniyas – Al Seef (CR6) from 10:00 am to 8pm, Dubai Old Souk – Al Fahidi – Al Seef (CR7) from 3:10pm to 7:30pm, Dubai Festival City – Dubai Creek Harbour (CR9) from 4pm to 8pm, Souk Al Marfa – Dubai Old Souq (CR12) from 4:20pm to 10:50pm, Souk Al Marfa – Deira Old Souq (CR13) from 4:05pm to 10:35pm, Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City (BM2) from 8am to 8pm and from 12:35am (past midnight) to 2am. Tourist trips from Sheikh Zayed Road Station (TR6) are not available, (BM1) Marina Promenade – Marina Mall – Marina Walk – Marina Terrace, Marina Mall – Marina Walk from 11am to 8pm, Marina Promenade – Marina Mall from 1:55pm to 8pm, Marina Terrace – Marina Walk from 2pm to 8pm, full route from 4:50pm to 8pm. Abras will be operating on Sunday, January 1, as follows: Dubai Old Souk – Baniyas (CR3) from 11am to 11:35pm, Al Fahidi – Al Sabkha (CR4) from 11am to 11:55 pm, Al Fahidi-Deira Old Souk (CR5) from 11am to 11:55 pm, Baniyas – Al Seef (CR6) from 11am to 12:20am (of the following day), Dubai Old Souk – Al Fahidi – Al Seef (CR7) from 3:10pm to 11:05pm, Dubai Festival City – Dubai Creek Harbour (CR9) from 4pm to 11:35pm, Souk Al Marfa – Dubai Old Souq (CR12) from 4:20pm to 10:50pm, Souk Al Marfa – Deira Old Souq (CR13) from 4:05pm to 10:35pm, Al Jaddaf – Dubai Festival City (BM2) from 11am to 11:50pm. Tourist trips from Sheikh Zayed Road Station (TR6) from 4pm to 11pm, (BM1) Marina Promenade – Marina Mall – Marina Walk – Marina Terrace, Marina Mall – Marina Walk from 12:00pm to 11:40pm, Marina Promenade – Marina Mall from 1:55pm to 10:40pm, Marina Terrace – Marina Walk from 2pm to 10:45pm, full route from 4:50pm to 10:20pm. Ferry services Dubai Ferry will be operating on Saturday, December 31 as follows: Al Ghubaiba-Marina Mall (or vice versa) (FR1) at 1pm, Dubai Water Canal-Al Ghubaiba at 2:20 pm, Dubai Water Canal-Marina Mall at 1:50pm, Bluewaters-Al Ghubaiba at 1:20pm, Bluewaters-Marina Mall at 2:50pm. Tourist trips from Al Ghubaiba (FR3) are not available. Two tourist journeys from Marina Mall (FR4) at 11:30am and 4:30pm and Souk Al Marfa – Al Ghubaiba (CR10) from 6:15pm to 9:45pm. Dubai Ferry will be operating on Sunday, January 1 as follows: Al Ghubaiba-Marina Mall (or vice versa) (FR1) at 1pm and 6pm, Dubai Water Canal-Al Ghubaiba at 2:20pm and 7:20pm, Dubai Water Canal-Marina Mall at 1:50pm and 6:50pm, Bluewaters-Al Ghubaiba at 1:20pm and 6:20pm, Bluewaters-Marina Mall at 2:50pm and 7:50pm, a single tourist journey from Al Ghubaiba (FR3) at 4:30pm, a single tourist journey from Marina Mall (FR4) at 4:30pm and Souk Al Marfa – Al Ghubaiba (CR10) from 6:15pm to 9:45pm. Water taxi services The Water Taxi will be operating on Saturday, December 31 as follows: Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3) from 4:15pm to 8am and on-demand from 3pm to 11pm. The Water Taxi will be operating on Sunday, January 1 as follows: Marina Mall – Bluewaters (BM3) from 4:15 pm to 11:45pm and on-demand from 3pm to 11pm. Customers need to make a prior booking.
