Home Technology Gadgets Review: Jabra Motion The Bluetooth and NFC enabled wireless headset is flexible and sleek. by Aarti Nagraj January 25, 2014 Jabra Motion is a wireless and flexible Bluetooth enabled headset utilising motion sensors and ‘intelligent microphones’. The headset promises seven hours of talk time (we didn’t exhaust the battery), and works using Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. It comes in a foldable design, automatically switching off power and conserving battery life when folded. This also means the headset can be carried in a pocket without breaking the boom arm. Jabra Motion’s ‘behind-the-ear’ circular shape allows it to easily slide in place, and being relatively lightweight and sleek, it remains quite inconspicuous. The headset also comes with two adjustable earplugs so you can choose the size that best fits you. Jabra Motion is designed to automatically adapt to local ambient sound, adjusting the volume accordingly. We tested this by switching the TV on and off, but although there was continued clarity in the conversation, there was no drastic change in the volume adjustment. Another drawback is that it is impossible to switch off the headset as long as it is in your ear, hence power saving may be difficult if you plan to have the headset clipped on for a long drive.
