Sheikh Ahmed is also the chairman of two of Dubai’s largest government vehicles: Emirates NBD and Dubai World. The uncle of the current ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Ahmed is also the second vice chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, chairman of the Dubai Supreme Committee, as well as the chairman of Noor Bank and flydubai.
This year’s Gulf Business Power 100 list saw five of the top 25 places going to Arabs who were both born and still reside in United Arab Emirates.
