The UAE is known for its cultural heritage, but what also holds true currency are its picturesque spots and breathtaking structures.

Visit these locations to soak up their beauty and capture some memorable pictures (and moments).

Dubai:

1. Dubai Miracle Garden

Dubai Miracle Garden is a confluence of beautiful sculptures and crafts made of flowers. The best time to visit is between the months of November and March. It is open between 9am-9pm on weekdays, and between 9am- 11pm on Fridays. Tickets are priced at Dhs55 for adults.

2. Wings of Mexico Statue

This free site offers visitors the opportunity to pose in front of a giant set of wings with the Burj Khalifa acting as a perfect backdrop. Head to the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard to grab a few extra shots.

3. Dubai Creek Harbour

Dubai Creek Harbour is a residential area that hosts a beautiful waterfront with the emirate’s idyllic skyline in view. Witness the sun setting down in all its glory, offering the perfect lighting for those snaps.

Abu Dhabi:

1. The Empty Quarter

Rub’ al Khali, also known as the Empty Quarter, boasts the world’s largest uninterrupted sand mass and spans Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE. Take a 4×4 into the desert and take some breathtaking photos.

2. The Louvre

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a picturesque museum located on Saadiyat Island. You will need to pay to gain entry, but in addition to some fantastic shots of the building’s exterior, you can relish the iconic art that the museum offers. Tickets start at Dhs60.

3. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest in the UAE and offers visitors the opportunity to go on a tour and take stunning photos. All visitors must respect the dress code, including full head and body covering for women and men.

4. Qasr Al Hosn

Qasr Al Hosn, build in 1761, is a historical landmark in the capital emirate. The watchtower offers a spectacular backdrop to your photos. General admission is Dhs30.

Sharjah:

1. Flag Island

Flag Island is notable for having the UAE flag towering at 123 meters high. The island also hosts an art gallery as well as a 1000-seat amphitheater. Make a day trip to take some pictures, visit the gallery, and dine at one of the restaurants.

2. Al Majaz Waterfront

Al Majaz waterfront is a lakeside park located in Sharjah that offers magnificent views. Spanning 231,000 square feet, visit after nightfall to see the musical fountains and take many aesthetic pictures.

3. Al Qasba

A cultural landmark in Sharjah, Al Qasba features a number of attractions. The area consists of a giant Ferris wheel and offers the opportunity to take a boat ride on the Qasba canal.

4. Al Noor Island

Al Noor island features various photo opportunities, from giant sculptures to a butterfly house. At night, Al Noor island transforms with LED lights, with the trees lit up, making for a ‘picture’ perfect spot.
