Revealed: Countries With The Highest Income Tax Rates

European countries feature high on the list of the nations with the world’s highest income tax rates, according to data from KPMG.

1. Aruba

Individual income tax rate in 2013: 58.95% The Dutch island in the Caribbean tops the world in terms of individual income tax rates. It has imposed the same tax rate for the last seven years, down slightly from 60.6 per cent in 2006. The top marginal tax rate kicks in at $171,149 of taxable income.
