Home Lifestyle Culinary Restaurant Reviews: French Mediterranean cuisine at La Voile Rouge La Voile Rouge presents a lavish fine dining experience that transports you to the tropical sceneries and seashore flavours of France by Zubina Ahmed July 24, 2022 The luxurious French Mediterranean venue, La Voile Rouge, recently opened its doors in February. Located in Al Futtan Currency House, DIFC, the luxe and one-of-a-kind venue, presents guests with the best fine dining experience in French cuisine. The restaurant presents a chic blend of modern and classic designs, creating an intriguing yet intimate atmosphere. A shade of Mediterranean ocean blue, coats the walls of the restaurant, amongst the velvet booths and white table cloths, conveying a sense of elegance and tranquillity to the space. Entertainment director Richard’s memories across 30 summers in St Tropez are depicted on black and white photo frames adorning the walls. Diners can enjoy a wide range of delectable dishes, including the likes of a delicious sea bass carpaccio, escargot, fresh lobster risotto, and the delightful truffle-chino. Gourmands are advised to not leave the table without trying the most talked about show-stopping dish, truffle-chino; an incredible masterpiece of truffle and mash potato encased in an espresso cup. End the lavish dining experience on a sweet note with the seasonal fresh fruit platter or a mouth-watering caramel cookie skillet . I loved the rich, buttery flavour of the escargots. We particularly enjoyed the sea bass carpaccio with peppers and chives, which brought out the freshness and distinct flavour. The lobster risotto was tender, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked.
