Flights from India to the UAE will resume from Friday, July 31, Indian carrier Air India Express announced on Thursday evening.
The repatriation flights, operating as part of the Vande Bharat Mission, will run until August 15 to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
Air India said bookings are now open on its website. Flights are being organised from across India including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Kochi, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Mangalore, among others.
Air India clarified that only UAE residents with a stamped copy in their passports can book the tickets from India to the UAE.
It also clarified that passengers with expired ICA / GDRFA approval will not be accepted at check-in.
The airline also outlined the following requirements:
* A valid ICA or GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs) approval
* A valid Negative Covid– 19 PCR test report in the printed form, from a government-approved laboratory
* A health declaration form and a quarantine undertaking form to be filled and submitted at the UAE airport on arrival
* A downloaded Covid-19 – DXB/Al Hosn Smart App
The airline also confirmed that all bookings are non-refundable.
