Home Industry Hospitality Red Sea Global partners with Equinox for Amaala hotel The hotel will comprise 128 keys, with a focus on sports, fitness, and lifestyle by Marisha Singh July 27, 2023 Image: Supplied/RSG Red Sea Global, the developer behind Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism destinations, Amaala and The Red Sea, announced a partnership with luxury hotel brand Equinox. The tie-up will see the development of Equinox Resort Amaala. The hotel will comprise 128 keys, with a focus on sports, fitness, and lifestyle, as well as a suite of amenities such as a magnesium salt rooftop pool, spa, beach club, and a signature Equinox Fitness Club. Equinox Resort Amaala will be part of the Amaala Marina Village, designed by architectural firm, Foster + Partners, said the developer’s statement. It will feature a collection of luxury hotels, villas, and condominiums set in a retail precinct with views of the marina. Amaala – a regenerative tourism destination The project is part of the wider Triple Bay development at Amaala and will adopt the best elements of local architecture featuring narrow winding streets keeping in mind tourists and walkability. The village is designed to offer guests access to the marina with views dominated by the Triple Bay Yacht Club, the Red Sea Marine Life Institute, and the Red Sea coastline. Equinox Resort Amaala provides direct access and views to the Marina Village on one side, and the pristine Hijaz Cove on the other. The Hotel’s Porte Cochere and its distinctive floating canopy provide a dramatic entrance for guests as they arrive by boat or car. The hotel itself features four open courtyards, which are inspired from traditional architectural styles. The shaded courtyards, with the intelligent use of the landscape and water features, naturally cools the air allowing guests to enjoy the resort in comfort even during the warmest days. “Amaala is a destination that perfectly aligns with our mission of redefining luxury hospitality. Our highly differentiated resort offering will provide guests an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can deliver. We’re excited to partner with an amazing developer like Red Sea Global that has similar and strong values rooted in sustainability,” said Equinox Hotels CEO, Christopher Norton. Guest rooms have been carefully planned to capture either the panoramic views of the Hijaz Cove or the marina with its super yachts and the lively marina promenade.
