Radisson Blu Kuwait Reopens After KD15m Renovation

Well-established property sports chic new look, larger Presidential Suite and enhanced F&B options.

Gulf Business

Radisson Blu Kuwait reopens this month following a KD15 million renovation spanning three years.

The property holds particular significance for Carlson Rezidor as it was the first Radisson Blu hotel to open outside Scandinavia in 1980.

Thirty three years on, the new-look hotel features a glass-encased Sky Lounge with outdoor terrace and business facilities for business class and suite guests.

The décor of the 191 rooms, which includes 30 suites, alternates between blue and neutral colours (‘naturally cool’), calming wooden accents (‘And Relax’) and a traditional mansion house (‘NY Mansion House’) – and corporates will more likely warm to the free high-speed internet. The Presidential Suite is 55m larger and contains floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and bedroom.

On the F&B front, Eedam Café & Gourmet Shop offers Starbucks Coffee and Peacock restaurant has received interior upgrades.

The 360sqm Dasman Ballroom is a new facility that can accommodate 200 people and be reconfigured into different configurations.
