Doha-headquartered Quest Esports has unveiled its ‘Gaming District’ in Qatar’s capital. The project is being implemented as a part of its partnership with the Qatar Esports Federation (QESF) to advance esports in the country

The gaming facility, which is located on Sikkat Wadi Msheireb and faces the Doha Design District in Msheireb Downtown Doha, will be open daily from 10am to 2am.

Quest CEO, Elie Honain, welcomed gamers and visitors to the district to learn more about Doha’s gaming industry while they were in Qatar for the World Cup.

“We scheduled the launch of the Gaming District to capitalise on the fact that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is attracting sports enthusiasts from all over the world. This is consistent with our objective of promoting esports, which is experiencing an unprecedented development phase in the region. This is a great opportunity for us to show the entire world the significant progress we have accomplished in the thriving industry,” he said.

Last year, the company managed five large LAN tournaments and online league matches for games such as Fortnite, CS: GO, PUBG Mobile, Dota 2 and FIFA, organised the first physical event in Qatar this past May and had previously partnered with Ooredoo to help launch the Ooredoo Thunders team and the Ooredoo Arena tournaments.
