Qatar’s Mesaieed Surges After MSCI Adds Stock To All-Country World Index

The company’s shares jumped as much as 10 per cent – their daily limit – in early trade.



Shares in Qatar’s Mesaieed Petrochemical surged in heavy trade on Thursday after MSCI said it had added the stock to its MSCI All-Country World Index.

Mesaieed’s shares were up 7.1 per cent at 0639 GMT, having jumped as much as 10 per cent – their daily limit – in early trade.

The stock’s rise helped Doha’s index climb 0.7 per cent to 13,611 points, hitting a 10-week intra-day high.
