The new office complex, located at the heart of Doha, will be housed in four interconnected towers, positioned just nine kilometres from the airline’s operational hub at Hamad International Airport (DOH). The headquarters will offer cutting-edge facilities and modern amenities for Qatar Airways employees, as well as enhanced accessibility, with the location being a mere 10 metres from the Msheireb Metro Station, which connects all lines of the Doha Metro. Focus on sustainability The district is also home to the world’s first fully built smart and sustainable city district, earning Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Designed with sustainability at its core, the new headquarters will feature advanced energy-efficient systems and smart infrastructure to enhance the airline’s operations. The building is already recognised with the prestigious SmartScore certification, which sets global standards for high-tech, user-focused buildings. The design prioritises workplace wellness, incorporating digital platforms and advanced algorithms to improve operational efficiencies, predict maintenance needs, and optimise energy use. First major office shift for the Qatar Airways Group Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engineer Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, emphasised that the move would facilitate innovation and productivity, key drivers of the airline’s future success. He stated, “As Qatar Airways continues to grow, we believe in investing in our greatest resource; our employees. By enhancing and elevating our work environment, we aim to not only create a more enjoyable, modern and collaborative working environment for our people, but also advance the airline’s role as an employer of choice in the region.” He added: “Relocating to Qatar’s first smart and sustainable district, with state-of-the-art solutions that will overcome modern operational issues and drive performance, is the right thing to do for us and Qatar. We look forward to welcoming our Qatar Airways family to a workspace fit for the airline’s very bright future.” This relocation represents the first major office shift for Qatar Airways Group, which currently operates from three separate buildings in the Old Airport area of Doha. The new headquarters will be situated in one of Msheireb Properties’ flagship developments, which is owned by the Qatar Foundation. Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, vice chairperson of Msheireb Properties, expressed pride in welcoming the airline to the district, highlighting its role in positioning Msheireb as a global centre for business excellence. With a total area of 51,602 square feet, the four interconnected towers will feature a shared lobby, with Tower A reaching 20 stories in height, Tower B at 15 stories, and Towers C and D each standing at six stories.
